Simple loyalty software for small businesses

Replace paper stamp cards with digital loyalty programs that work in the browser and wallet — no app, no signup.

Summa is loyalty software built for cafés, salons, bakeries, and restaurants that want something that just works — no IT team required, no long-term commitment, no complexity.

What is loyalty software — and do you actually need it?

Loyalty software is a tool that helps customers come back more often. The name sounds bigger than it is.

The simplest form: a digital stamp card. Ten stamps, one free coffee. That's loyalty software too — just without the paper card that disintegrates in someone's pocket.

What Summa does in practice: your customers get a stamp card in their phone browser or wallet. You issue stamps by QR scan, NFC tap, or PIN. When the card is full, you confirm the reward with a single tap. That's it.

This isn't an enterprise platform requiring a consultant. It's software you can set up this afternoon.

Why does this make sense for a small business?

Because regulars are the backbone of a small shop — and keeping them is far cheaper than finding new ones.

The numbers: acquiring a new customer costs 5 to 25 times more than retaining an existing one. Loyalty program members spend 15–25% more per year than non-members.

Harvard Business Review / McKinsey

You don't need thousands of members for this to pay off. 30 regulars visiting once more per month — at a €5.50 average spend — is nearly €2,000 in extra annual revenue. With a program that starts at €9/month.

85% of consumers prefer buying from businesses that offer a loyalty program. A stamp isn't just a discount mechanism — it's recognition. The customer feels seen.

What are you replacing?

Paper stamp cards

They work in principle. But 39% of customers lose them. You have no idea who has how many stamps, no way to follow up, and when someone loses their card, the progress — and the motivation to return — disappears with it.

App-based systems

Customers won't download an app for a stamp card. Only 12% of loyalty members have ever downloaded a loyalty app. An app requirement is a barrier most people won't clear.

Complex points programs

Points with conversion rates, tier systems, expiring rewards — that's the enterprise model. For a café or a salon, it's overkill and typically backfires. Simpler programs have higher completion rates.

Summa replaces the medium, not the mechanic. The logic stays the same — collect stamps, earn a reward. The difference is the card lives on their phone, never gets lost, and you know when it's full.

What Summa does

Four stamp methods

QR scan, NFC tap, receipt QR code, and PIN — use whichever fits your workflow. You can combine them or stick to one. Switch at any time.

Browser + wallet

No app needed. The card runs in the mobile browser and saves to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Stamps appear in real time.

Multiple programs

Run a coffee card and a lunch card simultaneously. Each program has its own stamp count, reward, and design.

Multiple locations

Branches supported. Each location has its own stamp sources; everything lives in one dashboard.

Team accounts

Staff get their own login without access to settings. Scanning is separated from administration.

Analytics

Cards issued, stamps collected, visit patterns. A clear dashboard — no data warehouse required.

No customer account required

Customers don't need to register anywhere. The link is the card. Email is optional — for recovery if they change phones.

Who is Summa built for?

Summa works best for businesses where customers come back regularly — and where a personal relationship already exists. The software reinforces what you're already building.

  • Cafés and coffee bars Habitual purchase behavior, frequent visits, high psychological effectiveness of stamp cards
  • Bakeries Morning routines, daily visits, fast stamp accumulation
  • Restaurants Higher ticket, reward as appetizer or dessert, repeat-diner focus
  • Hair salons and studios Longer cycles between visits, high lifetime value, rebooking as the goal

Up and running in three steps

  1. Set up your program

Choose your stamp count, reward, and card design. Takes under five minutes — no onboarding call, no training required.

  2. Customers collect stamps

Via QR scan, NFC tap, or PIN. You choose the method. Customers need no app and no account — just their phone.

  3. Redeem the reward

When a card is full, you see it immediately. One tap to confirm, and the card resets.

Common questions

What does Summa cost?

From €9/month, depending on how many active cards you have. No setup fee, no per-transaction costs, no annual contract. The first 30 days are free, no credit card required. You can try everything and cancel if it's not the right fit.

How long does setup take?

Under five minutes for a first program. You enter stamp count, reward, and name — that's it. Colour, icon, and font can be adjusted later. No technical requirements, no installation.

Do my customers need an app?

No. The stamp card runs directly in the mobile browser. Customers can save it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — but that's optional. No download, no account, no password. The card link is the card.

Do my customers need to sign up anywhere?

No. An email address is optional — and only useful if someone wants to recover their card after switching phones. Customers who don't want to share anything don't have to. We don't collect purchase data, behavioural profiles, or browsing history.

Does Summa work with multiple locations?

Yes. Each location has its own QR code and NFC tag. The dashboard shows which location issued how many stamps. Staff accounts can be assigned per location.

What if a customer loses their card?

If the card is linked to an email address, it can be recovered via a link — including all collected stamps. Without an email, recovery isn't possible, but neither is data storage. Your customers decide.

Can I run multiple loyalty programs at once?

Yes. A coffee card and a lunch card can run simultaneously, independently. Each program has its own stamp count, reward, and design. Customers can hold both cards at the same time.

Try it and see.

30 days free — no credit card, no annual commitment. Your first program runs in five minutes. And if it's not for you, you've only spent five minutes finding that out.
